Three techniques to shoot macro without the macro lens. Cheap and beautiful results.
Things you won't need:
Macro lenses
Large space
To be physically fit
Things you will need:
A few bits of cheap gear
Some space (maybe 2ft square)
A light source (a window, a lamp, speedlites)
If you're shooting flowers you can take as much time setting up as you need.
But when you're shooting at high magnification, depth of field gets shallow and tiny movements seem like earthquakes. Get something to keep both the camera and the subject still. (Tripod for camera and tape the flower to a stick or a pot).
